Two-Vehicle Collision. At 4:52 p.m., Saturday, December 14, a 2009 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on State Route 27 allegedly at a speed too great for the conditions. The 17-year-old female of Brookeville who was operating the vehicle lost control and traveled into the northbound lane of travel. The vehicle made initial contact with a 2013 Jeep Patriot’s front left. Following impact, the 17-year-old’s vehicle rotated counter clockwise 180 degrees and traveled in the northbound lane before coming to final rest off the northbound should going southwest into an embankment. The Jeep traveled approximately another 10 feet off of the northbound shoulder coming to final rest facing northeast in the grassy area. The operator of the Jeep, Emily M. Stearns, 27, of Grand Valley, sustained suspected serious injuries and was transported to Titusville Hospital by Grand Valley Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Service. The 17-year old female was not injured or transported and was charged with driving vehicle at safe speed. Also assisting Pennsylvania State Police Warren on the scene was Thompson’s Garage and Kucnick Automotive.
