Fire destroyed a garage Monday evening in Glade Township.

No one was injured, but the structure at 3703 Cobham Park Road was a total loss.

The fire was called in at about 4:30 p.m. and the structure was fully involved when firefighters arrived, according to Glade Volunteer Fire Department Second Assistant Chief Dave English. The fire was knocked down in about an hour and firefighters from numerous departments remained on the scene taking care of hot spots.

The garage stood separate from and behind the residence.

Homeowner Victor Lauffenburger, who was home when the fire broke out, said a car, two motorcycles, and a dozer were inside the structure.

Heat from the fire damaged some of the siding on the exposed side of the house less than 40 feet away.

The cause of the fire was not known as of Monday evening.

Responding to the fire were Glade, Scandia, Russell, Lander, and Pleasant volunteer fire departments, the City of Warren Fire Department, Emergycare, and Warren County Fire Police. A backhoe from Glade Township was called in to help firefighters remove rubble.
