If you’ve been on the edge of your seat waiting for the results of the Pennsylvania Farm Show National Anthem Contest — sit back and rejoice. Two young ladies from Warren County both landed a spot in the top 14 vocalists.

Elissa Errett, of Warren and Elizabeth Lucks, of Pittsfield, both earned enough Facebook votes to have the opportunity to sing The National Anthem at the Farm Show in January.

The top 14 vote-getters from submitted videos on the Farm Show Facebook page were officially announced Tuesday. Each winner will perform The National Anthem during Opening Ceremonies and to open each day of the Farm Show.

The announcement was expected on Friday, but it was held until all winners confirmed their availability to sing, according to Shannon Powers, press secretary for the Pa. Department of Agriculture Communications Office.

Errett, 11, has performed in front of home-town crowds. When her mom told her about the contest, she agreed to submit a video of her performing at a school event. According to her, she’s not only excited to perform at the Farm Show, it will be her first time going.
