Five guilty pleas were entered while charges were withdrawn against two defendants during preliminary hearings at the Warren County Courthouse on Wednesday.

The following defendants entered guilty pleas:

¯ Michael Connolly, Russell, to possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of driving an unregistered vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia were not prosecuted.

¯ Cassandra C. Gesin, Tidioute, to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of possession of a controlled substance was not prosecuted.

¯ William J. Lemaster, Tidioute, to possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fraudulent use/removal of registration plate, fail to carry registration, fail to carry license, driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked, required financial responsibility and operating vehicle without valid inspection. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, have improper muffler, driving an unregistered vehicle, no headlights and no rear lights were withdrawn.

¯ Rhiannon Sheldon, Warren, to marijuana – small amount personal use.

¯ Michael A. Vinopal, Warren, to possession of a controlled substance and adulteration/misbrand any controlled substance.

Charges were withdrawn against the following defendants:

¯ Charles M. Apperson, Jamestown, NY. Apperson had been charged with two counts of marijuana – small amount personal use and possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Jessica E. Valente, Titusville. Valente had been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana – small amount personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia, fail to carry registration, fail to carry license, driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked and duties at stop signs.
