Preliminary hearings

Four defendants pled guilty, charges were withdrawn against three and one was held for court during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following defendants pled guilty:

¯ Tonya Anderson, Warren, to driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked and possession of marijuana. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

¯ Dustin M. Dikun, Tidioute, to simple assault – mutual consent fight. Charges of terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and harassment were withdrawn.

¯ Jacob C. Kessing, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Devin S. Smith, Lowell, Mi., to possession of drug paraphernalia, false identification to law enforcement officer and conspiracy (retail theft). Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and restrictions on alcoholic beverages were withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following defendants:

¯ Amanda N. McClellan, Warren. McClellan had been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Ali T. Miah, Pittsburgh. Miah had been charged with knowingly manufacture/distribute a designer drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

¯ Jeffrey L. Rowley, Sugar Grove. Rowley had been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of marijuana – small amount personal use, six counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, registration card not signed, exceed max speed limits established by 20 mph, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and operating vehicle without valid inspection. Charges of failure to carry registration, failure to notify change in address and required financial responsibility were re-categorized as traffic offenses.

John A. Snyder, Warren, was held for court. Snyder has been charged with aggravated assault, strangulation – applying pressure to throat or neck, simple assault, terroristic threats and hinder apprehension/prosecution – harbor or conceal.
