Hospice offers free ‘Going Solo’ grief workshops

Whether you find yourself adjusting to life without a dinner companion, a dance partner or the family finance expert, some upcoming free workshops can help ease the transition to life on your own.

The Schorman Center, Hospice of Warren County, has planned a series of free grief support workshops called “Going Solo.” The workshops are intended to help people through the difficult time that can follow the death of a loved one, according to Jodi Bevevino, Schorman Center bereavement coordinator and compliance officer.

“Workshop leaders are community members who have expertise in each topic,” Bevevino said. “The focus of the workshops is everyday living skills for newly single people.”

The workshops will be held on all four Tuesdays in November at 4 p.m. at designated locations depending on the topic. Registration is required to attend. To register call the Schorman Center office at 723-8060 by Friday, Oct. 25, to register for any or all four workshops.
