Church fundraiser

Russell United Methodist Church will hold a Chicken BBQ from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, for a $10 donation. Meals include homemade mac salad, baked beans, rolls, dessert, and beverages. Takeouts are available.

Proceeds benefit the church’s Ministry Center.

Church rummage sale

St. Luke’s in Youngsville will hold a fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Oct. 3 and 4, and from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 5. Saturday will feature $1 a bag.

National Forge retirees breakfast

The National Forge retirees breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Richards Restaurant in Youngsville.

Watson clean-up

Watson Township Fall Trash Clean-up Day will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, for township residents and camp owners. The township will be charging a fee of $5 per vehicle load. The township can’t accept batteries, solvents, propane tanks, and hazardous materials. Tires will be collected for a fee, according to size. Prices are posted at the community building bulletin board. Electronics will be accepted. Televisions can’t be accepted.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will meet from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at The Maple Inn on Rt. 46 in Crosby, with the Anthony Culkar Band, of Cleveland, Ohio, performing. There will be music for all types of dancing, and the public is invited. For information, call John or Pat Moore at (814) 837-9218.

Woman’s Club event

What’s New for the Holidays takes place at Warren Woman’s Club, 310 Market Street, on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the ballroom. Vendors interested, call 723-5910.

Flu shot clinic

There will be a flu shot clinic at the Sheffield Senior Center on Monday, Oct. 7, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Flu shots will be provided by Sheffield Pharmacy. Bring your Medicare and supplemental insurance cards. Cost for those under 65 years of age is $29. The Sheffield Senior Center is located at 519 S. Main St. in Sheffield.

Wiltsie craft sale

Wiltsie Community Church Ladies Aid (formerly at the Warren Mall) will be held at the church, 2981 Swede Hill Rd., Russell, north of Warren on Route 62, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12. Scrubbies, rag rugs, RADA knives, jewelry, dishes, baby items, towels, and may new handmade items are available.

Pancake breakfast

Lottsville United Methodist Church will hold a Pancake Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, applesauce, beverages, and fruit pies.

The cost is a donation.

Hospice service

The Hospice Annual Memorial Service is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Pennsylvania Ave E, Warren. It is open to all Warren community members. For details, call 723-8060.
