A Warren man is behind bars on child pornography charges after he admitted to molesting a four-year-old girl and was found to have taken “graphic” photos of her.
Timothy Allen Anthony, 30, 109 West St., was charged by City of Warren police late Monday with 50 counts of child pornography, 35 counts of photograph/film/depict on computer sex act – child and one count of misdemeanor indecent assault person less than 13 years of age.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Anthony agreed to be interviewed as part of an “ongoing criminal case.”
Police say in the affidavit that Anthony admitted to molesting the girl “as a test, to make sure that he did not get an erection.”
Police subsequently obtained a search warrant for his cell phone, which was sent to the Pennsylvania State Police Computer Crime Lab in Meadville.
“A search of the device resulted in graphic images of the victim being found, sexual in nature,” the affidavit states. “These images were found to be taken by” Anthony.
Police said a total of 87 images of child pornography were found on the phone.
He was arraigned by Forest County District Justice Daniel Miller at 8:45 on Monday night and was placed in the Warren County Jail after he was unable to post $100,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing in the matter has been scheduled for October 2 at 11 a.m.
