Warren man charged with rape in Ashville, NY

ASHVILLE, N.Y. — A Warren man was charged on Friday with rape in the first degree, and sexual abuse, in the first, in Harmony, N.Y.

An investigation was conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division into a report of a “suspicious situation” on Kortwright Rd., Ashville, N.Y. Through the investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office, it was found that between August 2017 and December 2017, Steven M. Jackson, 24, S. State St., Warren, “did engage in sexual acts with a juvenile victim.”

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Jackson and he was arrested on Friday.

Jackson was transported to Chautauqua County Jail and will be arraigned in front of The Centralized Arraignment Program.
