Youngsville man sought in alleged domestic assault

Police are searching for a Youngsville man following an alleged domestic assault involving a gun, a knife, and a glass vase.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Adam L. Smith, 34, of Youngsville, faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, offensive weapon, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

Police were called to an incident Sunday on Carriage Drive.

According to the release, Smith physically assaulted a 34-year-old woman.

“Smith threw a glass vase, striking the victim in the back of the head, he punched the victim in the face, and threatened to shoot her face off while pointing a shotgun at her face,” according to police. “Smith then bit the victim in the arm and chased her out of the house with a knife before stabbing the windshield of the victim’s car.”

“Smith also threatened the neighbors, stating he would come after them with a weapon,” according to police.

Smith left the scene on foot before police arrived, according to the release.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police in Warren.
