Local woman faces multiple charges

A woman brought to Warren County adult probation was arrested after her purse was found to contain an illegal weapon and unprescribed medications, and her person was found to contain a bottle of urine.

Jessica R. Lamper, 33, of Warren, is charged with furnishing drug-free urine, illegal offensive weapons, and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Lamper was in the adult probation department when she asked that her purse, left in a county vehicle, be brought in.

As the probation officer brought the purse in, she was informed by sheriff’s deputies that it would have to go through the x-ray machine at the single point of entry, according to the affidavit.

The machine showed officers brass knuckles, according to deputies. Those and a prescription pill bottle were removed from the purse. The bottle contained gabapentin, a suboxone strip, and three different central nervous system stimulants — adderall, methylphenidate, and dextroamphetamine, according to the affidavit. Officers said Lamper had a prescription for gabapentin.

Lamper was subsequently searched and a blue plastic bottle containing “clean” urine was found in a body cavity, according to the affidavit.

She was taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $10,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 24.
