PARSE meeting

The Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees (PARSE) will meet for their picnic on Thursday, July 11 at 11 a.m. at Betts Park, 100 Ludlow St., Warren. Meet at the pavilion across from the bocce courts. Nomination of officers for next year will be held. Rob Fallon, a forest ranger, will speak. Call 726-7272 with any questions.

Watson Grange

Watson Grange will meet again at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 11, for the quarterly birthday dinner prior to the meeting.

Class reunion

Dear classmate: Youngsville High School has a summer tradition you will not want to miss. It is a family reunion-style get-together for all Y.H.S. alumni and guests who have graduated at least 50 years ago.

This year, the Y.H.S. class of 1967 will host the honored class of 1968. Mark July 9 on your calendars to attend this event.

Organizers ask that you bring a covered dish to share. Beverages and sandwich fixings, and plates and silverware will be furnished.

The party starts at noon at the Youngsville Fire Hall.

Class lunch

The Warren High School of 1953 will meet for lunch at 1:00 on Wednesday, July 10, at the Eagles Club.

The WAHS class of 1966 will hold a get together at noon on Saturday, August 17, at the Docksiders Wolf Run Marina Cafe located at 315 PA 59, just beyond the Kinzua Dam. RSVP by email to p.ann.o@verizon.net or by responding to the post on the class Facebook page so that reservations can be made.

Christian women luncheon

Village Missions Country Partners, Warren Christian Women, will hold its July “Patriotic Luncheon” from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren.

Featured guest will be Gail Cowan of Youngsville with antique Marx toys; music is by Gary Wallin of Warren and Kay Jones of Clarendon; and spiritual speaker is Linda Fanton of Wellsville, N.Y.

Wear your red, white or blue. Men, women, and new guests always welcome. The group is non-denominational and there are no dues or membership. A $9 fee covers lunch, program, and speakers. Call Lee Jones at 723-5952 for reservations by July 3.

Caregivers Support Group

The Caregivers Support Group meeting on the third Monday will be held as usual at noon on July 15. It will be held in the Wesley Parlor of the Grace United Methodist Church. Use the elevator entrance at the rear of the parking lot and proceed to the Wesley Parlor on the first floor.

Jamestown Community College has announced the names of Warren County students who were awarded degrees or certificates from the Jamestown and Cattaraugus County campuses in May 2019.

Highest honors represents a 4.0 grade point average, high honors a 3.5 to 3.99 GPA, and honors a 3.25 to 3.49 GPA.
