Lewd assault charges for Warren man
A Warren man is in Warren County jail after being charged with indecent assault of a 5-year-old.
Gary L. McGregor, Jr., 30, of Warren, is charged with indecent assault — person less than 13 years of age; corruption of minors — defendant age 18 or above; and indecent assault — person unconscious.
According to the police affidavit of probable cause, Pennsylvania State Parole officers reported to City of Warren Police that McGregor admitted to having inappropriate contact with a minor child.
Police said McGregor waived his rights prior to an interview with city police and a Warren County detective. During that interview, according to the affidavit, McGregor described a pattern of behavior in which the child would “grind and gyrate on (his) lap causing him to have sexual thoughts about the child.”
According to the criminal complaint, indecent assault — person unconscious, applies when a victim is unaware of the indecent contact.
McGregor was arraigned Monday before District Justice Raymond Zydonik and taken to Warren County jail after failing to post $75,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 29.
