One guilty plea was entered, charges were withdrawn against another and two were held for court during preliminary hearings held on Wednesday at the Warren County Courthouse.

Carl E. Brown, Ashville, NY, entered a guilty plea to possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of possession of a controlled substance, four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and violate hazard regulations were withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against William J. Gower, Russell. Gower had been charged with materially false written statement – purchase, delivery, transfer of firearm and statement under penalty. A count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

The following defendants were held for court:

¯ Kirstin L. Goska, Corry. Goska has been charged with sell non-controlled substance – similar to controlled substance, DUI: Controlled substance – Schedule I – first offense, DUI: Controlled substance – metabolite – first offense, DUI: Controlled substance – impaired ability – first offense, possession of a controlled substance, careless driving, driving without a license and driving an unregistered vehicle.

¯ Hunter C. Houser, Clarendon. Houser has been charged with firearm not to be carried without a license – no criminal violation, make repairs/sell/etc. offensive weapon and recklessly endangering another person.
