Crash. No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 7:51 p.m. Friday on Kinzua Road. According to police, an eastbound vehicle driven by Christopher W. Hoffman, 24, of Youngsville, left the road, traveled about 150 feet before striking a utility pole and eventually coming to rest.
Pleasant Twp.
Charged. A Kane man was arrested after his boat reportedly capsized. According to Pennsylvania State Police, police responded to a report of a man yelling for help at 8:32 p.m. Sunday in the area of Driftwood Drive. Police said Samuel Oyler, 60, of Kane, and another person had gotten separated when their boat capsized. Both were evaluated by EMS personnel and declined treatment. They were taken to the Warren barracks to wait for a ride. Police said Oyler was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheffield Twp.
Crash. A child was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 9:55 p.m. Friday on Route 6 in front of Sheffield Area School. According to Pennsylvania State Police, an eastbound vehicle driven by Alicia L. Pape, 35, of Sheffield, left the road on a right curve, struck a culvert, and later a billboard, before coming to rest. Police said the three passengers, ages 6, 8, and 10, were properly restrained in the second row of seats at the time of the crash. An 8-year-old girl was transported for treatment of unknown injuries. Police said Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department and EmergyCare assisted at the scene.
