Eight plead guilty before judge at arraignment, change of plea

Eight defendants pleaded guilty, seven pleaded not guilty and one pled no contest during arraignment and change of plea proceedings before Judge Gregory Hammond.

The following defendants pleaded guilty:

¯ Christine M. Johnson, Jamestown, NY, to retail theft.

¯ Rodney L. Johnson, Tidioute, to theft by unlawful taking. Charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were not prosecuted.

¯ Marsha A. Kuzma, Corry, to DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, careless driving and restraint systems. Charges of DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving with accident – first offense, driving on right side of roadway, driving on roadways laned for traffic and reckless driving were not prosecuted.

¯ Jay J. Sheriff, Jamestown, NY, to conspiracy (retail theft). A count of retail theft was not prosecuted.

¯ William M. Ott, Sugar Grove, to charges at two dockets. At one, he pleaded guilty to burglary – not adapted for overnight accommodation, no person present while charges of theft by unlawful taking and criminal mischief – damage property were not prosecuted. At a second, he pleaded guilty to criminal attempt (criminal trespass) while charges of criminal attempt (burglary – not adapted for overnight accommodation, no person present) and purchase, etc. alcoholic beverage by a minor were not prosecuted.

¯ James R. Sullivan, Girard, to unauthorized use of motor/other vehicles.

¯ Dakota J. Wilson, Warren, to possession with intent to deliver, endangering the welfare of a child and possession of a controlled substance. Charges including two counts of possession with intent to deliver, two counts of criminal use of a communications facility, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of possession of a controlled substance were not prosecuted.

¯ Brandon L. Young, Warren, to recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and DUI: Controlled substance – Schedule I – second offense. A count of aggravated assault was not prosecuted.

The following defendants pled not guilty:

¯ Manuel S. Beers, Warren. Beers has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: General impairment – first offense, fail to carry registration, two counts of fail to keep right and careless driving.

¯ Keith M. Braley, Randolph, NY. Braley has been charged with DUI: General impairment – incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, disregard traffic lane, careless driving, restrictions on alcoholic beverages and required financial responsibility.

¯ Victor J. Cameron, Jamestown, NY. Cameron has been charged with conspiracy (retail theft – take merchandise).

¯ Scott E. Golden, Pittsfield. Golden has been charged to possession with intent to deliver, 10 counts of criminal use of a communications facility and a single count of possession of a controlled substance.

¯ Nathaniel M. Laroche, Warren. Laroche has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, disregard traffic lane, driving at safe speed, careless driving, reckless driving and restraint systems.

¯ Joshawa M. Rogers, Warren. Rogers has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude officer, recklessly endangering another person, driving while operating privilege suspended or revoked, pass when prohibited, disregard traffic lane, turning movements and required signals, exceed max speed limit established by 29 mph, careless driving, reckless driving, exceed max speed limit by 55 mph.

¯ Edgar Y. Evans, III, Warren. Evans has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, harassment and purchase, etc. alcohol beverage by a minor.

¯ Amber T.H. Wolfe, Erie. Wolfe has been charged with possessing phenylpropanolamine, etc. or a precursor substance with intent to unlawfully manufacture and possession of a controlled substance.

Dylan J. Cunningham, Jamestown, NY, pled no contest to terroristic threats. Charges of harassment and disorderly conduct were not prosecuted.

Bench warrants were to be issued at the end of the day for failure to appear unless waivers were received from the following defendants:

¯ Cody A. Boutelle, Clarendon. Boutelle has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: High rate of alcohol – first offense, required financial responsibility, careless driving and not use low beam.

¯ Janet M. Devore, Pittsfield. Devore has been charged with DUI: General impairment/incapable of safe driving – first offense, DUI: Highest rate of alcohol – first offense, disregard traffic lane, driving at safe speed and careless driving.
