Treasurer to open office to active duty military for deer hunting licenses

Warren County Treasurer Dennis Munksgard will continue the annual tradition of opening his office to sell Anterless Deer Hunting licenses to qualified residents serving on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, or within 60 days from honorable discharge.

In order to qualify for one of these licenses, the following criteria must be met:

¯ Must be a resident of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

¯ Must be on active and full-time duty in the United State Armed Forces, or within 60 days from honorable discharge

¯ Must be assigned to a facility outside of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

¯ Must be on temporary leave in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

To purchase one of the licenses, visit the Treasurer’s Office at the Warren County Courthouse between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 26. Enter the Courthouse via the Fifth Street entrance, proceed up the set of stairs and straight down the hallway to the Treasurer’s Office on the left.

“I am pleased to continue the long Warren County tradition of opening the Warren County Treasurer’s Office to provide Anterless Hunting Licenses to our military personnel,” Munksgard said, “I consider this another way of saying ‘Thank You’ for your service. As long as I am County Treasurer, I will continue this tradition.”
