Truth or dare leads to new charges for man already awaiting trial
A 25-year-old man awaiting trial on charges including unlawful sexual contact with a minor now faces additional charges stemming from an alleged sexually explicit game of truth or dare with juvenile girls.
Kyle R. Kitchel, 24, of Warren, was charged Thursday, Aug. 10, with three counts of indecent assault — person less than 16 years of age; five counts of corruption of minors; and three counts of furnishing alcohol to minors.
According to City of Warren Police, Kitchel was babysitting at a Warren residence where there was a sleepover party June 24 and 25.
Police said in the affidavit of probable cause that Kitchel was aware of the ages of the girls at the party and was “hanging around at least two” of them, ages 13 and 14. “His intentions were expressed to the juveniles that he was to have sex with the females,” according to police.
During the game of truth or dare, Kitchel was dared to “grind” his body on top of a 13-year-old girl, according to police. Police said he did and that both he and the girl were clothed.
Police said Kitchel later caused the two girls to come in contact with his exposed penis.
Three juveniles, the two girls and a 13-year-old boy, told police that Kitchel had given them drinks of his beer, according to the affidavit.
Police said Kitchel admitted to drinking and participating in the game of truth or dare, but denied having any sexual contact with the juveniles and denied providing them alcohol.
Kitchel was arraigned Monday before District Justice Glenn Carlson.
Carlson set bail at $40,000.
Kitchel was returned to Warren County jail where he was being held pending further court action on charges that he allegedly encouraged a juvenile girl to have sex with him and threatened her when she would not.
