A Tidioute man faces a felony strangulation charge following an incident in Triumph Township on Wednesday.

Adam Scott Halfast, 40, faces charges of felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault, and harassment after Pennsylvania State Police were called to a reported assault 1547 Swede Hill Road at 2:07 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police say upon their arrival at the scene it was discovered that Halfast entered the residence and struck a female victim several times in the head. Halfast then threw the victim into the side of a refrigerator.

The victim also indicated to police that Halfast had grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against the wall by her throat. The accused then fled the scene in a silver-colored Chevrolet sedan.

Halfast was arrested and placed in the Warren County Jail. Bail was set at $20,000 and a preliminary hearing is set for May 24.
