Nine enter guilty pleas

Nine defendants entered guilty pleas during plea court proceedings Monday afternoon before Judge Maureen Skerda.

Entering pleas were:

¯ Patrick M. Anderson, 26, of Warren, guilty to five counts of theft from a motor vehicle, and one count of theft (of a firearm) by unlawful taking, with restitution of about $900. Additional charges including burglary, eight counts of theft from a motor vehicle, five counts of loitering and prowling at night, and possession of firearm prohibited, will not be prosecuted.

¯ Andrew A. Cornelius, 27, of Warren, guilty to criminal mischief, with restitution of $123.29. Charges of institutional vandalism, and disorderly conduct will not be prosecuted.

¯ Julie A. Darling, 26, of Warren, guilty to conspiracy — possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, and false identification to law enforcement. An additional charge of conspiracy — possession will not be prosecuted.

¯ Kasey L. Hardwick, 32, of Sheffield, guilty to fraud to obtain food stamps, with restitution of $14,568 — joint and several with co-defendant Alison Vinopal.

¯ Devan J. Reese, 25, of Franklin, guilty to criminal trespass, and theft by unlawful taking. Additional charges of burglary, conspiracy — burglary, conspiracy — criminal trespass, conspiracy — theft by unlawful taking, criminal mischief, and conspiracy — criminal mischief.

¯ Robert W. Slocum, 46, of Irvine, guilty to possession of controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges including four counts of DUI: controlled substance, driving without a license, driving while operating privilege is suspended, and careless driving, will not be prosecuted.

¯ Scott D. Steele, 54, of Warren, guilty to DUI: high rate of alcohol. Another charge of DUI will not be prosecuted.

¯ Alison L. Vinopal, 29, of Sheffield, guilty to fraud to obtain food stamps, with restitution of $14,568 — joint and several with co-defendant Kasey Hardwick.

¯ Christopher D. Whipple, 28, of Clarendon, guilty to DUI: controlled substance, driving while operating privilege suspended, careless driving, and restraint systems. Additional charges including four counts of DUI, disregard traffic lane, and driving at safe speed, will not be prosecuted.
