Now is the time for high school seniors to apply for scholarships to help fund the cost of school next year. One such program, available through the Community Foundation of Warren County, is the Linda and Paul Keverline Scholarship. Established by Linda Keverline of Warren, this scholarship supports students pursuing a career in healthcare.

Paul Keverline, a Bradford native, was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine. Following his work at the Bradford Regional Medical Center, he founded Seneca Eye Surgeons Inc. and devoted himself to providing excellent healthcare to the people of the Warren area.

Throughout his career, Paul was known as an avid supporter of education, particularly in the field of medicine, and always did his best to answer his patient’s questions in an informative, empathetic way. To honor his steadfast commitment to education, and to his profession, Linda decided to create a scholarship in his memory.

The Linda and Paul Keverline Scholarship is designated for Warren County High School graduating seniors pursuing a career in healthcare. Preference is given to the fields of Optometry, Ophthalmology, Veterinary Medicine, and Pre-Med Studies. The family participates in the selection process.

The Community Foundation of Warren County also offers a scholarship for students pursuing a career in healthcare; however, preference for this scholarship is given to college students who are in their second or third year of a healthcare specific major.

The Linda and Paul Keverline Scholarship is available through the Community Foundation of Warren County Online Application, due on April 7th, 2017. As this deadline approaches, students are encouraged to apply for scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. The application is available at the Community Foundation website, www.cfowc.org.

Starting at $3.50/week.
