Who doesn’t love a wedding? Weddings are beautiful, romantic, classy,… and deadly?

You are cordially invited to attend a “wedding reception” unlike any other at “Death Stalks the Historical Society– ‘Til Death Do Us Part” on Saturday, April 1, at the Conewango Club, 201 Market Street, Warren.

The evening starts out like every other wedding reception with live music, delicious food, and a bride and groom celebrating their love, but things quickly turn sinister as an unsuspecting victim falls prey to a murderous villain. Who will it be? How will they die? And, most importantly, who did it and why?

It couldn’t possibly be one of the newlyweds on, what is supposed to be, the happiest day of their lives, could it? Those in the wedding party may be wacky, but they’re not evil, right? After all, the maid of honor and best man certainly wouldn’t want to take the attention away from their best friends. At least, one would think. The wedding singer and accompanist are seemingly too busy entertaining to commit a crime. What wedding would be complete without a strange, over-the-top relative or two? The Justice of the Peace is just there to officiate the wedding. He wouldn’t ruin the day, right? The quirky cast of nefarious characters will keep you laughing and on your toes as questions, hilarity, and murder abounds. Possibilities are endless, and everyone is suspect.

A “take a chance” auction and 50/50 raffle round out the evening. The auction prizes include items donated by various businesses and individuals as fundraisers for the Warren County Historical Society. Sponsors include Ace Hardware, Allegheny Outfitters, Carol Barnickel, Karen Black, Dreamboat Hobbies, Erie Seawolves, Erie Zoo, Debbie Fitzsimmons, Freedom Investment Group, Jean Gomory, Howe’s True Value, Jack’s Tap House, Northwest Arena, Keith Oviatt, Ribs & Bones, United Refining, Virg-Ann Flower Shop, Vivian’s Bridal Boutique, and Waldameer.
