State Fish and Boat Commission has fishing license gift vouchers
‘Tis the season for giving and fishing license vouchers are on some lists.
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is now offering fishing license gift vouchers for next year’s seasons.
“Purchasing a fishing license gift voucher is easy and convenient,” commission Bureau of Outreach, Education and Marketing Director Steve Kralik said. The giver buys the voucher anywhere they can buy a fishing license.
“We see it as a holiday gift idea,” Warren County Treasurer Dennis Munksgard said. “It allows them to pay for a person’s license.”
The receiver only has to redeem the voucher – also anywhere licenses are sold.
Vouchers are available for many different licenses, including annual, three-year, and five-year durations, and add-on permits through www.gonefishingpa.com or issuing agents. Any issuing agent, including some 900 sporting goods stores, can redeem a voucher. There are nine issuing agents in Warren County listed on fishandboat.com
The vouchers are not valid for use as fishing licenses. They are non-refundable and do carry expirations days.
