Reward for slain deer doubled
The reward for information regarding the slaying of a prize breeding deer has doubled.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, there is a $10,000 reward for information into the killing which took place between 5 p.m. Aug. 31 and 1 p.m. Sept. 1, 2014. A previous reward of $5,000 was announced in February. The new incentive was set Monday. There is an additional reward being offered through Warren County Crime Stoppers.
“I have never seen a higher reward,” Trooper Jeffrey Dahl said.
The owner of the deer, Gregory Manelick of Allegheny White Tails, placed a value of $20,000 on the 3-year-old animal. The domesticated deer was shot and killed inside the Allegheny White Tails private deer enclosure.
