Happenings in and around Youngsville

The Youngsville Public Library will be open regular business hours on Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A cake auction fundraising event at the Allegheny Community Center (42 Clark St., Warren) will be held Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Allegheny Community Center and be used towards further programming.

The Audubon Community Nature Center is having a take-out spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21. All proceeds with go to the support of the Audubon Community Nature Center (1600 Riverside, Jamestown, NY). Meal costs are $18. Each meal will include a plentiful helping of spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs, side salad, sliced bread, and a cookie. Vegetarian meal options are also available which will include veggie-balls.Pre-order meals and pick a pick-up time. Drive-up times will be available every 15 minutes between 4 and 6 p.m., and meals will be delivered to diners’ cars. Hessel Valley Church’s Monthly Community Outreach Luncheon will be held Wednesday starting at 11:30 a.m. at the church, 166 Hessel Valley Road, Chandlers Valley. Cost is free but donation accepted.

Free weekly community meals have resumed at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, (179 Davis St. Meals are each Wednesday starting at 5 p.m. All are welcome. Weekly menu updates are posted on the JoyFull Cafe Facebook page. Weekly “Knitting socials with Jen” are held at the Tybout House, 117 Market St. The next Knitting Social is Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. The social is a free, weekly, informal “fiber get-together” where those interested can bring their knitting, crocheting, spinning, or any fiber-related project and socialize. The knitting socials are meant to be a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere in which those who love working with their hands and fiber can meet. Learn and share Warren County Community resources at the monthly meeting of the Whole Health Group at its next meeting from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Warren County YMCA, 212 Lexington Ave. Monthly meetings target agency staff in education, healthcare, social services, and supports. Each month information is gathered for a presentation about available community resources and a discussion about the various community supports for Whole Health in Warren County.

A free “Yarn Over Coffee” gathering at the Tybout House (117 Market St.) will be held Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Bring in knitting or fiber-related project and meet some new friends with like interests in a causal atmosphere. All are welcome.
