Island Park Outdoor Pickleball a success in fist year

The first season of the Island Park Outdoor Pickleball pick-up games and “how-to” lessons was a spectacular success.
Bill and Celia Gross made the Island Park Pickleball courts possible. They thanked everyone who participated on the Island Pickleball courts and also supported them in this new venture: the Youngsville Borough, the Youngsville YMCA, and Kristy Wallace from the Youngsville Library.
To prevent wear and tear, the Pickleball nets will be taken down on Sunday.
“If we get some nice weather and anyone still wants to play pickleball give me a call and we’ll bring the nets overt to set up and play,” Gross said.
Gross can be reached at 814-730-7607.
With the high local interest pickleball, the Grosses want to find an indoor space in the Youngsville area, where people can continue to play throughout the winter. If anyone has suggestions for possible indoor pickleball locations, call Gross.
