Youngsville alumni breakfast offers coffee, comradery

This year’s Youngsville High School alumni breakfast, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Station 61 Restaurant is one of many events and activities planned for the Youngsville High School annual Alumni Coming Home celebration.

Friday, Sept. 30, from 7 to 11 p.m. there will be a Campfire at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church pavilion (179 Davis Street). Bring a snack to share, NA beverage, and lawn chair. Everyone is welcome.

Saturday, Oct. 1, is the dinner and dance at the Youngsville Fire Hall. A dinner buffet will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A dinner reservation is required; the meal costs $22 per person and includes the dance. Dance only from 8:30 to 11 p.m. The cost of the dance only is $10. Doors open at 8 p.m. Those attending can bring their own booze. There will also be a mixer and snacks.

There will also be various reunions for other Youngsville High School classes.

The Youngsville High School Class of 1962 will meet for its 60th year reunion Friday at 4:30 p.m. for a casual dinner at Mama Jane’s Eatery on Ludlow Street, Warren, formerly the Perkins Restaurant. The group will order from the menu. A social time is planned after dinner at the EUM church on Second Street, Youngsville, for more catching up, dessert and coffee. Those whose reservations were late should still attend.
