Holiday hours: Reminder that Youngsville Library will be closed on Monday, July 4 in observance of the holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5. The drop-box is open 24-7 for all returned materials.

Free job Workshops: Wednesday, July 6, Danielle Ditz will hold 3 separate career development workshops at Youngsville Library”. The first workshop is from 11:30 – 12:30 pm: SkillUP PA, an in-person session, walk-ins welcome. SkillUP PA provides access to over 6,000 free, online skills training courses to help you prepare for a new career path, enhance your existing skill-set, and more. Stop in to receive one-on-one assistance on how to sign-up for, navigate, and utilize this great resource to meet your personal needs.

From 12:30 – 1:30 pm Danielle will have an open, Walk-in Q & A session. Ask personalized questions regarding job searches, PA CareerLink, free job training opportunities, and more. No registration needed. From 1:30 – 2:30 pm “PA CareerLink overview & your personal needs” workshop is available for in-person, virtual, or by-phone attendance. Free Snack Program: Free “grab and go” snacks are available at the Youngsville Library from now through Aug. 19 for kids ages 18 and under. Totes filled with free snacks are located in the lobby, are individually packaged, and are available during library business hours: Mon and Wed 11 am – 6 pm, Tues 10 am – 3 pm, and Fri 11 am – 4 pm. Snacks offered include but aren’t limited to single-serve mac and cheese, steel-cut oatmeal with granola, (both microwavable containers), and 8-oz juice bottles. No registration required for YPL’s 7th Annual “Free Snacks for Kids” Program.

More Summer Programming: Additional Summer Programming at the Youngsville Library includes “STEM-ulating Stories with Sara”(a 4-part series) and also “Plants & Pollinators” (a 3-part series). BORO NEWS

Holiday hours: The Youngsville Borough Office and Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, July 5.

Holiday garbage pick-up: Garbage pick-up regularly scheduled for Monday, July 4 will be picked up on Tuesday and garbage pick-up regularly scheduled for Tuesday will be picked up on Wednesday.

Swim Lessons: Brokenstraw Valley Swimming Pool (BVSP) Swimming Lessons will be held from July 25 through July 29 and again on August 1 through August 5. There will be two timeslots available from 10-10:45 am and from 11-11:45 am. Lesson fees will be $20 per child. Free Movie Night: Enjoy a family night out with a Free movie at your local YMCA, brought to you by the Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry. Friday, July 8 at 9 p.m. – Location Youngsville YMCA (80 Ford Street, Island Park) Movie Title: “Little Giants.” Friday, July 15 at 9 p.m. -Location Warren City Car Pool. Movie title “Encanto.” Bring your own blanket and chair.
