The Youngsville Eagles Instrumental Boosters is having a Benefit Casino Bus Run on March 26 at the Seneca Allegany Casino.

The cost is a $35 donation per seat. The bus leaves Youngsville High School at 8 a.m. and Betts Park at 8:30 a.m and will be at the Seneca Allegany Casino from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be pull tickets and 50/50 giveaways on the bus. There are 55 seats available. Seats are available on a first-come basis and must be paid in advance by March 19. All proceeds will go to help the Marching Eagles. The Spring Cash Bash will be held at the Garland Fire Hall on Saturday, April 23, to raise money for the Garland Volunteer Fire Department. Doors open at 6 p.m. The main giveaway ticket is $10 advance sale for a $2,000 reverse drawing at 7 p.m. Winners need not be present to win with reverse drawing. There will also be side giveaways and instant tickets available on April 23. The kitchen will be open. Those attending must be 18 years old. The event is bring-your-own-beer.

Bingo at the Garland Fire Hall will be held Monday, March 7. Doors open at 4 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6 p.m. The kitchen opens at 4 p.m. Kitchen specials include a bacon cheeseburger and cheesy fries. A $30 donation enters players for all-you-can-play on regular cards. Dual Dab Bingo and Even Better Bingo and Power Play numbers will be offered.

The Lenten fish fry will begin Friday, March 4, and will be served every Friday during Lent, ending April 8, at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis St., from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is a $12 donation per dinner. Dinners include: fish, choice of potato (french fries or baked potato), coleslaw or applesauce, roll, and a drink. Take-out orders are also available. Money raised from the fish fry dinners help support the church’s Mission’s Outreach. Call 814-563-9009 with questions.

FREE CAREERLINK WORKSHOPS

On Wednesday, Danielle Ditz will hold two separate career development workshops at the Youngsville Public Library.

From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Ditz will hold a walk-in question-and-answer session. Ask personalized questions regarding job searches, PA CareerLInk, free job training opportunities and more. No registration needed.

From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ditz will lead “Steps to a Successful Interview.” She will walk those attending through the four steps of completing a successful interview: preparation, practice, presentation and post-interview. The group will also review ways to practice and prepare for an interview. The “Successful Interview” workshop can be attended at the library, virtually, or by cell or landline. LOVE YOUR LIBRARY FUNDRAISER

The annual Love Your Library fundraiser is happening through April 15. Seven “themed” options, each worth $100 or more filled with gift cards, cash, and lottery tickets, are available at a cost of 10 chances for a $5 donation. From Wednesday, March 2, through Wednesday, March 16, chances will be available at Valley Bowling during open bowling hours fromm 9 to 11 p.m. Fridays, 1 to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Those interested can also stop by during their league bowling times seven days a week. For league hours call at 814-563-4320 or visit the Valley Bowling website for information about upcoming tournaments, including the Scotch Doubles Tournament for a scholarship fundraiser on March 19.

Chances are also available at the Youngsville Borough Office, Youngsville Library or at youngsvillelibrary.org, where those interested can print a downloadable mail-in “Raffle Request Form.”

FOOD BANK

Otterbein United Methodist Church and the Second Harvest Food bank pickup is Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Otterbein UMC, 258 Dalrymple St., Pittsfield. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 2 p.m. Call 814-563-3333 with questions.

FREE COMMUNITY MEALS

Free community meals are served each Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis St. Menus are subject to change. All are welcome. Volunteers to help serve and prepare meals are always needed and appreciated. Call 814-563-9009 to volunteer.

FREE “FOUNDING MARTYR” PROGRAM

Tuesday, March 15, at 6 p.m. the Warren County Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at the Warren County Courthouse, Main Courtroom followed by a special presentation at 6:30 p.m. by Christian Di Spigna, author of “Founding Martyr: The Life and Death of Dr. Joseph Warren, the American Revolution’s Lost Hero.” Di Spigna will discuss General Joseph Warren’s life and also how Warren’s death robbed the nation of an up-and-coming influential founding father.
