Developmemnt Workshop Is Wednesday

On Wednesday, Danielle Ditz will hold two separate, free career help workshops at the Youngsville Public Library. From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Ditz is offering a “walk-in” question-and-answer where area residents can ask question regarding general job search help, resume assistance, navigating the PA CareerLink site, how to register online for future workshops, and more. From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ditz will hold a workshop, “Reviewing Your Online Presence.” Anyone interested can attend the workshop via phone call (cell or landline), computer, or in person. NEWEST LIBRARY ANGELS

Through Wednesday, Dec. 22, the Youngsville Public Library’s 13th annual “Library-Angel” fundraiser is occurring.

A corresponding “Library-Angel” is placed on the Library-Angel tree for each donation made and specifies if the donation was in honor of or in memory of an individual. Library Angels are also mentioned on the library’s website and listed in the Times Observer. To become a Library Angel: stop by the Youngsville Library during business hours, visit the library’s homepage at YoungsvilleLibrary.org for a downloadable Angel Tree donation form, or mail a Library Angel donation (without a form) to: Youngsville Public Library c/o Library Angel Program, 100 Broad St., Youngsville, PA 16371. Be sure to include the name to be placed on the angel (and if the donation is in memoriam or in honor of someone). Regular business hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 6 p.m., Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friddays from noon to 4 p.m.

FREE METHODIST EVENTS

On Sunday, award-winning GloryWay will perform at 6 p.m. at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis St. All are welcome to attend the free concert.

Saturday, Dec. 25, Youngsville Free Methodist Church will present two worship services on Christmas morning, one at 9 a.m. and another at 11 a.m. All are welcome

Youngsville Free Methodist Church has started a new prayer ministry that will be praying specifically for children around the community. It will be held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. All are welcome. In light of children facing isolation, grief and depression, on top of everything else, church membrs have decided to come together to pray specifically for children and the children of the community. Thursday, Dec. 9, was the first night for the weekly ministry and both adults and teens were in attendance.

Free Community Meals are served Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m. in the church’s Joyful Cafe. The menu for Wednesday is chili and a baked potato bar. No meals will be served on Dec. 22 or Dec. 29, but meals will resume on Jan. 5. All are welcome.

General Tuesday prayer meetings: Youngsville Free Methodist Church also holds a general prayer meeting each Tuesday at 6 p.m. This meeting is open to everyone and all are welcome.

SOCIETY

During the month of December, visit the Warren County Historical Society and experience a Christmas from days gone by. Open the door to the past in this 1870s Italian Renaissance mansion decorated in vintage holiday ornamentation and stocked with a variety of unique gifts available for purchase.
