Photo submitted to Times Observer The 3rd Annual Youngsville Eagle Instrumental Boosters/Marching Band Car Show/Fundraiser this Sunday, July 21, is held at the Youngsville Fire Hall. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon. The show starts at noon and awards are at 3 p.m. All vehicles are welcome with a $10 “entry fee”/donation per vehicle. The PowerWheel Class for kids is free to enter. All vendors are welcome. There will be music, food, and awards. Money raised will help support the Youngsville Eagle Instrumental Boosters/Marching Band as they will be marching in the 100th Veteran’s Day Parade and celebration in New York City this November. Music at Island Park

The free Music in the Park entertainment for Thursday, July 18, is The Misfits playing Bluegrass Gospel from 6 to 8 p.m. Next Thursday, July 25, enjoy a variety of acoustic songs performed by Julie Bessey.

St. Francis YABA event

Saint Francis of Assisi in Youngsville is having a “yard sale” fundraiser event during YABA days this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, July 18 to 20, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunches will also be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Lunch will offer BBQ ham sandwiches (for a $2.50 donation), mac and cheese ($2.50 donation), hot dogs ($1 donation), and freeze pops, popcorn, and cold beverages (by donation). The social hall tables will be filled with “yard sale” treasures as well.

Bingo open to public

The public is invited to attend the Thursday Bingo nights at the Youngsville American Legion now through Thursday, August 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. The policy to have a non-smoking facility from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Bingo/fundraising nights will also continue through August 8.
