Love your Library Raffle

“p1″>The Friends of the Youngsville Library’s 7th Annual “Love Your Library” Basket Extravaganza fundraising event is going on now through Friday, March 17th. This year the 6 uniquely themed choices are actually filled with gift cards, cash, or lottery tickets and not traditional “basket items”.  Each “basket” has a value of $100. The 6 “baskets” are currently on display at the library and for a $5.00 donation participants will receive 10 tickets to be used toward the basket(s) of their choice. Winners will be drawn at the end of business day on March 17th.

“p1″>”What makes this such a great fundraising event for our library is that there is a variety of themed-choices for people to choose from, you can always find something that will appeal to you,” stated Library Director, Kristy Wallace. “Because of the positive feedback, the Friends of the Library decided to once again fill each themed ‘basket’ will Gift Cards, cash, or lottery tickets instead of actual items.  For example there is a ‘Fill ‘er Up’ basket that has $100 in gas cards and a ‘Got Ya Covered’ basket that has a $25 Walmart, $25 Tops, $25 Carter Lumber, and $25 Lowes gift card in it. People have the opportunity to decide which basket or baskets interest them and can distribute their tickets accordingly. So if you’re lucky enough to win, you will actually win something that you want!”

“p1″>”We also want to thank all the businesses that so generously donated gift certificates or gift cards to help make our “baskets” even better this year.  Forester Restaurant, Perkins, Applebee’s, Simple Dick’s, Pete’s Beverage, Tammy’s Hairitage, Richard’s Restaurant, Tops Market, Sheetz, United Refining, Shell, Scott Olewine of Olewine Financial Group in Warren,  and the Trustees of the Friends of the Youngsville Public Library all chipped in to cover the remaining overhead costs.  They all deserve a big thank you because we wouldn’t have been able to offer so many well-stocked ‘gift card baskets’ without the support of those businesses,” Wallace said.

The 6 themed choices are: “Bon Appe’tit,” “Youngsville’s Finest,” “Keep on Scratching,” Cold Cash,” “Fill ‘er up,” and “Got ‘Ya Covered.” Tickets are available at the Youngsville Library during business hours or from a member of the Friends or Library Board. Ten tickets for a $5 donation or one ticket for a $1 donation. Friday, February 17th Friends will be selling tickets at Richard’s Restaurant from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
