News from Miracle Mountain Ranch

We hope you had a blessed Christmas and New Year holiday. Our students are back from break and we are gearing up for a full season of ministry opportunities. Our Jr. Winter and Sr. Winter Camps are happening first, followed by the Ski Retreat, SALT, and several private groups. A relatively new trend this year is to facilitate groups who are interested in going skiing at the nearby Peek n’ Peak Resort. We look forward to hosting these winter events!

We have been blessed by your generosity during our End of the Year Campaign to raise support toward the completion of our Brokenstraw Bathhouse & Inn, as well as funding for our Summer Camp Scholarship Fund. We are excited to announce that you helped us raise $77,880, which was very close to our goal of $85,000. We are over halfway to our year-long goal of raising $150,000 total for these projects. If you are still interested in supporting the building fund or sending a kid to camp, we welcome your contribution.

News at Youngsville Public Library

If your New Year’s resolution involved catching up on your reading then be sure to keep the Youngsville Public Library in mind. Each month new magazines, books, and even DVDs are being added to our shelves. Youngsville Library also has sizable Christian fiction and Large Print collections which are sub-set for easy perusing.

“p1″>Also, thanks to a very generous donation made by a library patron, YPL will be adding over 60 audio-books on CD that are “new to our library” during January, February, and March.  “By the end of March our collection of CD audio books will have increased so dramatically that we’ll actually have to rearrange part of our shelving area to accommodate all of them,” stated Library Director Kristy Wallace, “we are absolutely thrilled to be able to add [these items] to our current collection of audio books and are extremely grateful to the patron who chose to donate these items. Unabridged audio books are frequently enjoyed by our patrons but unfortunately they can be very expensive to purchase and process- which is why this donation means so much to us and our patrons.”
