Tidioute Travelers

Those traveling to Lancaster on Saturday, Oct. 20, are reminded to be at St. John Center located at 25 First St. by 6:15 a.m. No later, as the bus will leave promptly at 6:30 a.m. and stop at approximately 8:30 a.m. for breakfast.

The bus will return around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

Holiday Food Voucher Donations

Monetary donations are being accepted for the Tidioute Holiday Food Vouchers.

Donations can be made payable to Tidioute Holiday Food Vouchers and mailed to Linda Scott, 60 Jefferson St., Tidioute, PA 16351

This is an opportunity to help make the holidays a little brighter for those less fortunate.

Holiday Food Voucher Applications

Applications are located at Buccardos Restaurant, Evans Market, Tidioute Trading Post and Northwest Bank in Tidioute.

Applicants must reside in Tidioute or have a 484 phone exchange. No PO boxes.

All applications must be returned by November 3 to the committee for review.

Chicken and Biscuit Dinner

St. John Women’s Guild will be hosting a Chicken and Biscuit Dinner on Friday, Oct. 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John Center.

All are welcome, as it is open to the public.

There will be more dinners available.

The menu will consist of chicken and gravy, biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans/or corn, applesauce, homemade desserts, and beverages.

Takeouts are available.

The cost is $8 for adults, children ages 6 to 10 only $5, and children 5 and under $3.

Proceeds benefit St. John Women’s Guild New Organ Fund.

Trick Or Treat

Tidioute children will be able to observe Halloween Trick or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Remember to wear a mask that you can see out of and only stop at the homes that have a porch light on.

Small children should be accompanied by an adult.
