We found something here in these halls, something that perhaps we didn’t know we were missing to begin with. Ourselves.” Giving credit for the excellent teachers at TCCS, she shared the lessons they learned that will forever live within them, saying, “we now know that we must think smarter, not harder, that diversity equals stability, that we must dream the impossible dream, and that there truly is and art to storytelling.” They are unique yet together to form something more that just a class, but a family.

Allyvia Morgan, co-valedictorian spoke on yellow paint. “Vincent van Gogh’s favorite color was yellow. He thought it was the happiest color, and at one point he began drinking yellow paint. Yellow paint takes on many forms in this world – pretty words on pretty pages for the trick for a few, smoke in the air makes worlds go round, and fleeting colors are the reason some people stay. People are bound to do things you’ve never heard of, things you may not agree with. To each their opinion, but keep in mind that everyone is just trying to live something worth being alive for. We are in a constant search for toxic happiness-one’s madness is simply their yellow paint.
