Our Eisenhower Elementary School is gathering all their artwork for a special Art Show. Coming up on Tuesday, February 28th, the students will be able to show off artwork and creations they have made at home and win prizes.

Food Pantry Date Change

The Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry will be held at the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church Gym on Saturday, February 25th. This is different than the normally scheduled third week of February. They change is due to the scheduling conflicts with the Presidents Day Holiday Weekend. The Distribution begins at 8:00 a.m. and continues until approximately noon at 210 Jamestown Street in Sugar Grove. Any questions can be directed to the church office at (814) 489-3105.

Young Artists

Our Eisenhower Elementary School is full of great young artists. Coming up on Tuesday, February 28th, the students will be able to show off artwork and creations they have made at home. This is in conjunction with the Elementary School Talent Show that will also take place on this evening. The artwork will be judged and some great prizes awarded. Then coming up in March the school will hold a second Art Show with creations they have made in classes. This will be happening along with their Elementary Concert on March 9. Concert times will be grades 1-2-3 from 6:30 to 7 p.m., Grades 4-5 and Band from 7:15 to 8 p.m.

Mr. EHS

Any students in grades 11 or 12 can compete in this year’s Mr. EHS Competition. Interested students should complete and turn in their registration forms to room G120 before Wednesday, Feb. 22. The Mr. EHS Competition will be held on March 1st in the auditorium and is always very entertaining.

Community Lunches

A community lunch will be held on Friday, March 3, at the Mission Covenant Church. Each month the community lunch is held on the 1st Friday of the month at the Mission Covenant Church at the corner of Matthews Run and Jackson Run Road. On the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church located at the corner of Race and Jamestown Streets in Sugar Grove. On the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church located in Chandlers Valley. All lunches begin at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

World Day of Prayer

A community World Day of Prayer Service will be held Friday. March 3 at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. David Hoisington from Youngsville has just returned from a Missions Trip to Mexico and will be the featured speaker.
