Photos submitted to Times Observer On Saturday, Ja. 27, at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, local bands Still Waiting, Hostage of Humanity, and The Flock will be playing concerts to benefit Sugar Grove's Unity Music Experience happening summer 2017. The cost is just a donation and the musical starts at 6 p.m. From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will also be a craft show with 25 vendors. Pictured here is the band Still Waiting.

Spaghetti Dinner

The Wrightsville Community church will be holding a Spaghetti dinner on Saturday, January 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. Dinner will be the cost of a donation. Dinner will include spaghetti,  meat sauce, coleslaw, french bread,  and dessert. All proceeds will benefit the Wrightsville Community church New Mexico Missions trip.

Mitten Tree

If you or someone you know are in need of a winter hat, scarf, or mittens stop by the Sugar Grove mitten tree. The tree is located at the Wilcox Brothers Hardware Store.  The tree is sponsored by the Mission Covenant church and the items are free. There are also some items available in the front area of the Mission Covenant church located on the corner of Routes 27 and 69.

Concert and Craft Show

The Unity Music Experience will be having their 2nd Annual Summer music festival in Sugar Grove this August. To raise funds for the festival,  we are having a benefit concert and craft show on Saturday, January 28th. The craft show will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church. There are more than 25 vendors that will have crafts of all kinds for sale. Then at 6 p.m., a concert will start. There will be concerts provided by Still Waiting, Hostage of humanity, and the Sugar Grove Band, The Flock. Come out and support a great cause and see some of your favorite local bands all for the price of a donation. All proceeds will go to help pay the expenses of the 2nd Annual Unity Music Experience happening summer 2017.

Polar Plunge

“p1″>Paul Tutmaher, Sons of AMVETS and Sandy Kiedrowski, AMVETS Post #50 in Sugar Grove took the Winterfest “Polar Plunge” on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Chapman Dam State Park.  Thank you to AMVETS Post 50, AMVETS Ladies, Auxiliary, Sons of AMVETS and the members that were so generous to donate to the Polar Plunge cause.  The Salvation Army was the actual winner of the event raising funds to help those in our area.

Block Party

The Sugar Grove Free Library will be having a block party for pre-kindergarten age students on Tuesday, January 31st starting at 11 a.m. There will be wooden blocks building activities, snacks, and fun.

WCSD Schedule

The Warren County school District will be having parent-teacher conferences next week. February 2nd and February 3rd there will be no classes for students.
