A Season of Giving
Thank You to all those in our Community who gave throughout the Holiday Season. While the economy struggles, it seems generous donations were being given every day. Our AMVETS and American Legion provided supplies to our Service men and women as well as Toys for Tots, our Community gave generously to the Salvation Army Red Kettle, and numerous giving projects were held at our local churches.
Sugar Grove Borough Council Meeting
The January Sugar Grove Borough Council Meeting will be held at the Sugar Grove Building on Monday, January 2nd starting at 7 p.m. The General Public is welcome to attend.
Township Meeting
The January Sugar Grove Township Meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd starting at 8 p.m.at the Township Building at 195 Creek Road in Sugar Grove. The General Public is welcome to attend.

WCSD Schedule
The Warren County School District schedule for the Christmas Break is as follows: The school vacation began on Monday, Dec. 26. Classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 2.
Community Lunches
The Community Lunches area available in the area. Friday, January 6th there is a Community Lunch held at the Mission Covenant Church starting at 11:30 a.m. Anyone is welcome to attend. Then on Thursday, January 12th there will also be a Community Luncheon held at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church. Community lunches are held throughout the month at various locations. Ask at either of these locations for a luncheon schedule. Come on out and enjoy a hot meal and the company of others this winter.
Food Pantry Open
The Sugar Grove Food Pantry is currently open two evenings during the month for those in need of supplies. It will be open Tuesday, January 3rd. The facility, located at 210 Jamestown Street in the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church Gymnasium and is open on the first Tuesday of each month. During these evenings individuals are welcome to come from 6 to 8 p.m. Volunteers do ask that you do not arrive or line up before 5:45 p.m. as other activities are happening in the same location.
This facility distributes food for the coverage area of the Sugar Grove Borough, the Sugar Grove Township, the Brokenstraw Township, Pittsfield Township, the Lander and Farmington Township area, Bear Lake and Freehold Township, and those living in the North Warren area west of Dutch Hill Road. If you live outside of those areas you might want to check out the other food pantries in Warren County.
Similar facilities are located at the Clarendon Mobile Food Pantry, the Evangelical United Methodist Church, The First Church of the Nazarene in Warren, Praise Fellowship Church in Russell, the Salvation Army in Warren, the St. Josephs Church Soup Kitchen in Warren, The Youngsville Ministerial Food Pantry at the United Methodist Church in Youngsville, and the Tidioute Mobile Food Pantry at the Tidioute Fire Hall.
