Farewell to Nancy Page

The Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church would like to extend an invitation to the community to say farewell to Pastor Nancy Page. Pastor Nancy has been involved with the little church for 15 years and has been the senior pastor and led the church for the last five years. Christmas Eve Services will be held at 9 p.m. and Christmas Day services will be held at 11 a.m.  These will be the last days in Sugar Grove for Pastor Nancy as she will be relocating to West Virginia to be near her family. If you have gotten to know Nancy in our community worship gatherings, please attend either service to wish her well. Christmas morning at 10 a.m. there will be a coffee time with Nancy prior to the service.

Ringing The Bell

The Salvation Army kettle is still out for donations and located in the front of the Town and Country Good Center. Stop by this weekend and make a donation. All funds collected remain in and benefit children in the Sugar Grove area.

Food Pantry Collection at EES

Thank You to all the fifth-grade students at Eisenhower Elementary School who have been collecting items for the Sugar Grove Food Pantry. As part of their math class, the students have been collecting, counting, and charting their donations. The final totals that were delivered this week were 6375.61 ounces of cans, 1650.16 ounces of boxes, 968.9 misc. ounces for a total of 690 items at 8994.67 ounces or 562.16 pounds of food.

EHS Jr. High Basketball Team helps

The Eisenhower Knights Jr. High Basketball Team and their coaches joined the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church Second Harvest Food Pantry last Saturday to help off load, sort, and deliver thousands of pounds of food to families in the area. Santa and his North Pole helpers were also on hand to distribute gifts to the many children in attendance at Food Pantry.

Christmas Services

All the local churches will be holding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Services this weekend. The Sugar Grove Community is invited and welcome to attend any services. The Sugar Grove Mission Covenant Church will be having a 9 p.m. Christmas Eve Service and Christmas Day Services at 11 a.m., Sugar Grove Free Methodist will be having a Christmas Eve Candle Lighting Service at 8:30 p.m. and a Christmas Day Service at 9:30 a.m., The Sugar Grove United Methodist Church will be having a Christmas Carol Sing Along on Christmas Eve starting at 8 p.m. and then Services on Christmas Day at Lottsville United Methodist at 9 a.m. and in Sugar Grove at 11 a.m.
