Sheffield Township Supervisors Special Meeting

At 7 p.m. Monday, April 24, the next supervisors will meet at the Township Office at 20 Leather Street. This meeting is open to the public and is a continuance of our last township meeting and the new roadcrew person will be named.

Craft Show and Chinese Auction…

To benefit St. Anthony’s Church, is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (today) at St. Paul’s Center Saybrook. 16 vendors and the auction has many wonderful prizes. Food is available all day by the Knights of Columbus; lots of parking.

Sheffield High School Softball Benefit Breakfast Buffet

Sunday, April 23, from 8-10 a.m. Breakfast Buffet at the American Legion Post 135 in Warren. There will be a Chinese Auction, 50/50 Cost is by donation. Please come out and support the Wolverine softball Team. No need to be a member of the Legion to attend.

Sheffield United Methodist Church News and Notes

Today at 11 a.m. come and celebrate our friend and church member Alice McCall, who passed away recently and is now wrapped in our heavenly fathers arms along with her father, mother and sister. Lunch will be served following. Please come and share.

On Monday, April 24, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Sheffield United Methodist Church is the next Open Doors Dinner featuring Salisbury Steak, Mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables and fruit cocktail, punch and coffee for beverages. Takes outs are available. Please come and enjoy this free dinner and lots of great fellowship.

Coming up on May is the inside garage sale. Several pieces of furniture along with lots and lots of treasures will be for sale. A chicken BBQ dinner will also be going on this day as well and tickets can be purchased by calling the church at 968-5222. Get your tickets early.

On Sunday, April 30, at 7 p.m. is our Praise and Worship service. Beautiful, relaxing hour of music and prayers will be offered.

30 Tests for $35 Saturday, May 6, 2017 6-9:30 a.m. at the Sheffield Area Medical Center, 511 South Main Street, Sheffield. Registration is preferred. Walk-ins are welcome, however a $10 charge will be applied to all walk-ins. Call 814-837-4570 or toll free 1-800-565-9200 ask for ext 4570. Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 3rd. Vitamin D, Hepatitis C, A1C, TSH, PSA and Occult Blood Testing are also available for an additional fee.

We start the week out with Blood Pressure testing with Vanessa from Kane Health care from 11-12 NO appointment needed, stay for coffee & conversation with friends. Every Monday we have lunches prepared by Kondak’s Market & our dedicated volunteers, reservations are needed one week in advance. We also provide monthly menus, stop in and sign up.

Join us for lunch & shopping in Warren first stop Frosty’s Chalet for lunch then Dollar Tree & Walmart don’t forget ice cream again at Frosty’s Chalet on the way home from a nice day out with friends. Reservation is a must to be picked up at your door.

Off to Erie shopping for the day at the mall or Christmas Tree store, then a nice lunch at Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Celebrate all those who have an April Birthday or Anniversary on Thursday, we have a special treat this month with entertainment by ‘String of Pearls’ who will provide music for you. Enjoy Birthday cake from Tops, drawing for fresh flowers by Presents & Posies & 50/50 drawing.
