Outdoor Club To Visit Oil Creek State Park Sunday

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will ride, bike or hike in the Oil Creek State Park on Sunday, Aug. 24. Members will take part in an out and back ride/hike and can go as far as they want. The trail is 9 miles one way. Members will meet at 2 p.m. at Petroleum Center, 305 State Park, Oil City. Linda Ross is the leader of this event.

Barnes family

picnic is Sunday

The annual Barnes Picnic will be held on Sunday, Aug. 24, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Sheffield Lions Den. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Meatballs, corn-on-the-cob, drinks and tableware will be provided.

Holiday camping at fairgrounds offered starting Aug. 28

The Warren County Fairgrounds in Pittsfield will be offering holiday camping over Labor Day weekend. Check in will start at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 28, with check out on Monday, Sept. 1. There are several campsites to choose from with water and electric hook-ups, restrooms with showers and a dumping station. For reservations or information call Sue at 814-730-2890. All proceeds benefit the improvement fund for the fair.

Military Share food distribution is

Friday

The next Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania’s Warren County Military Share food distribution will take place on Friday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. This program supports income-qualifying active or retired military members and their immediate families in need of food. The distribution will be held across from the Ed Shults Dealership at 4060 Market St.

Second Harvest food distribution is Aug. 28

The next Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania Warren County Produce Express food distribution will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28, at 3 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 445 Conewango Ave., Warren. The program supports income-qualifying individuals and families in need of food and takes place on the fourth Thursday of every month.
