Class to meet

The Eisenhower High School Class of 1973 will meet for breakfast at The Bucket Cafe in Sugar Grove at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Bridge results

Penny Miller and Dave Benedict came in first Monday at the YMCA with Sue Swab and Laurie Curren in second. Bill Massa placed first and Adele Tranter was second on Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club on Thursday Laurie Curren won and Connie Michell was second.

Trail closure

The U.S. Forest Service will close the all-terrain vehicle and off-highway motorcycle rails in the Allegheny National Forest for the summer season at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29. Exceptions will include the Tour De Forest event in Marienville and Columbus Day weekend for fall foliage riding. The Marienville and Timberline trails will open at 8 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, and close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14. The Timberline Trailhead will open Thursday, Oct. 10, to accommodate visitors camping for the weekend. The Willow Creek, Rocky Gap and Penoke Trails will remain closed.
