churches set Christmas Eve services

Youngsville New Life Church will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 11 p.m. on Dec. 24. Otterbein Global Methodist Church will hold a Christmas Eve candlelight at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24. The public is welcome to attend.

Grove lights

competition held

Michelle and Jim Miller took first place in the lights competition that was part of the Sugar Grove Christmas Walk. Second through fifth place – as voted on by attendees at the Christmas Walk – were Sue, Murris and Paul Beetle; Mary and Jim Sudul; Sarah Edwards Borger and Ross and Lisa Barr. “If you’re in the sweet town of Sugar Grove take a few different roads, there are decorated houses on every street,” Lisa Barr said. “My goal over the next 5 years is to have most homes decorated in our town and become the next Christmas Town.”

Breakfast with

Santa

Revitalization of Akeley and Rossell will be hosting a Breakfast with Santa on Saturday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Russell United Methodist Church. Cost is by donation and all proceeds will benefit ROAR.
