The Warren Area High School Class of 1970 will meet for lunch on Monday, November 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Mamma Jane’s.

Caregivers support group to meet

The Caregivers Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church, 501 PA. Ave. E., Warren. Enter the building via the Pennsylvania Avenue entrance and proceed to the Winger Room.

Anyone interested in Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementia-related diseases are welcome to attend.

Information from the Alzheimer’s Association will be available, as well as a lending library with many helpful books regarding the actual care of those with the disease. Time will be allowed for sharing concerns or questions.

Ordination service to be held Nov. 11

The Rev. Heather Allport-Cohoon will be ordained as pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11. The ordination service with communion will be celebrated at First Lutheran Church of Jamestown, 120 Chandler St.

There will be a reception at the church immediately afterward. Fellow clergy of any denomination are welcome to vest and process. The color of the day is red. The public is welcome to attend.

Allport-Cohoon has also been called to serve two Lutheran churches in Warren, Pa., St. John’s and St. Paul’s.
