Chandlers Valley United Methodist church on Jackson Run Road in Chandlers Valley is hosting a concert with gospel singer, Dan Schall, on Wednesday, May 24 at 6 p.m.

Outdoor group to hike

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike at the Beaver Meadows Recreation Area in Marienville on Sunday. It will be a four-mile hike. The group will meet at 1:30 p.m. at Musante St. in Warren or 2:30 at the recreation area.

Fire department to host chicken BBQ

RUSSELL — The Lander Volunteer Fire Department will host a chicken barbecue beginning at noon on Sunday, dine-in or take out. The cost is $12 for a full dinner, $8 for a children’s meal and $8 for a half-chicken. The chicken will be cooked over charcoal fire with the fire department’s signature basting sauce. Sides will include potato salad, applesauce, roll and dessert.
