Longhouse work
Forest Service officials urge visitors to use caution when traveling Longhouse Scenic Drive. Debris and downed trees from the winter and recent storms may be encountered on the road. Forest Service work crews will work diligently this week to clear debris from the 11-mile stretch of roadway. Drivers may encounter chainsaw operators and other workers on the road. Crews plan to have the road cleared early this week and safe for travel by the weekend.
Bridge results
Lana Creal and Chick Bello were first on Monday evening at the YMCA with Marty Gingell and Sherra Babcock in second. Bob Kellogg and Marjorie Neel were first and second Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Connie Michell was first and Rita Mancuso came in second.
Easter party
North Warren Presbyterian Church will hold an Easter Party on Saturday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until noon. Children ages 4 through fifth grade can learn the Easter Story through “Rotten Eggs” classroom lessons, music and crafts followed by an age-appropriate Easter egg hunt.
Easter egg hunt
Russell United Methodist Church will hold a free, community Easter egg hunt and pancake breakfast Saturday. Breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. and the hunt is on at 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny may be available for photos.
