AOC to hike
The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike the Bean Field area in Irvine on Sunday, March 19. The group will meet at the parking area on Old Rt. 6 in Irvine and the hike will be about four miles.
Bridge results
Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher were first on Monday evening at the YMCA with Diane Callahan and Marge Polito in second. Phyllis Broadbent placed first Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center and Marge Polito was second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday, Donna Holding and Nan Cashman were first and second.
Chess Players to meet April 5
The inaugural meeting of the Warren Area Chess Players will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at the Arbor House Coffee Shop. Players of all levels, including those who are interested in learning, are welcome. Games will follow the organizational meeting.
‘Understanding
Dementia’ meeting is today
Maria Munksgard will present “Understanding Dementia” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, at the Northern Pennsylvania Regional College, 300 Second Ave., Warren. The program includes an explanation of the signs, stages, and behaviors associated with dementia. Anyone interested in Alzheimer’s Disease or other dementias and all others are welcome. Registration is appreciated, but not required. Information is available and registration may be made by calling Laura at (814) 723-5008 or Linda at (814) 726-1199.
