Bridge results

Shelley Dahlie and Pat Fincher finished first on Monday evening at the YMCA followed by Lynn Way and Richard Woodruff. Alice Kellogg came in first Tuesday at the Allegheny Community Center and Bill Massa was second. At the Woman’s Club Thursday afternoon, Laurie Curren and Peggy Morgan were first and second. The Marathon tournament wrapped up Friday at the Woman’s Club and found Dahlie and Sherra Babcock in first place ,followed by Laurie Curren and My Ignatius in second.

Fiber artists to meet

The Warren County Fiber Artist’s next meeting will be held Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Church of God on Market St. Victoria Boehmer from the Tybout House Yarn & Candy Shop will be presenting a program on the duplicate stitch. Participants will make a heart shape on a swatch which will teach them how to do any duplicate stitch pattern. Participants need to bring a yarn needle. A kit will be provided for everyone. Christian women meet

Warren-Jamestown Christian Women held its Jan. 10 program at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Spiritual speaker, Nina Bell, of Cherry Creek, NY told of how faith in God helped her cope and survive a tumultuous marriage to an alcoholic, and how she found inner peace with God’s help. A Valentine luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at Noon at Praise Fellowship Church. Speaker will be Janeen Beard speaking on how God guided her to go back to school at age 65 for a nursing degree to start up Christian-based Lander Hope Clinic.
