EOC to close for holidays

The Warren-Forest Counties Economic Opportunity Council will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26, for the Christmas holidays. The council will re-open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Church fundraiser a success

Wiltsie Community Church’s December effort to raise money for those who are suffering in Ukraine was very successful. The church held a benefit dinner with auctions and raffles on Dec. 3 to raise money for support to multiple projects. “With the community’s help, Wiltsie Community Church raised over $11,000 which will be used to help Ukrainian mothers with newborn babies, provide medical supplies for refugees, purchase supplies to make 1,000-plus candles for Ukrainian soldiers to use for heat and light on the battlefields, and to help rebuild homes and provide shelter for those displaced by the war,” Jennifer Lundmark, member of the Ukraine Ministry Fundraiser Committee, said. “Wiltsie wishes to express their thanks for all those who came out to support the December 3rd Ukraine Ministry Fundraiser.”
