Osram-Sylvania Lady Retirees to meet

The Osram-Sylvania lady retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at The Bucket in Sugar Grove.

Church plans annual supper

St. John’s Lutheran Church annual pork and sauerkraut supper will be Saturday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Dine in or carry out. Supper includes pork and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, applesauce, roll, apple or pumpkin pie, and beverages. Cost is a donation. St John’s is located at 200 Pleasant Drive in Warren.

Genealogical Society to meet Monday

The Warren County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, in the dining room at the First Lutheran Church. The program will be ‘show and tell’ when members and guest are encouraged to bring family artifacts, heirlooms, photos, or stories to share with the group. Anyone interested in family history and research is welcome. More information is available by calling (814) 723-8026.

Bridge results

Here’s a look at bridge results for the week beginning Monday, September 26. There was a tie for first between the team of Shelley Dahlie and Richard Woodruff and the team of Bill Kuppinger and Sharon Rissel on Monday night at the YMCA with Rita Mancuso and Connie Michell in second. Connie Lucia was first with Billa Massa second on Tuesday at the ACC while Barb Johnson was first and Peggy Morgan second on Thursday at the Woman’s Club. Morgan was first on Friday at the Conewango Club with Mancuso second.

Christian Women to meet

Jamestown-Warren Christian Women Village Missions Country Partners next luncheon will be held at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Praise Fellowship Church, Russell. Spiritual guest will be Pastor Sue Ford of Cherry Creek, NY, along with her husband, David Ford providing music and singing along with her. The group will be collecting nylon or synthetic socks in October and November for our service persons overseas to be sent by the Blue Star Mothers. October is also the $1 brown bag exchange.
